Another departure

A team mate announced yesterday that he has tendered his resignation and is now serving his three-months notice.

We are not particularly close, even having been in the same team for a year.

But strangely, I invited him to lunch with me and another team team (who is not that close to him as well) today.

Maybe it is knowing that he is leaving, that I'd want to spend more time with him.

Sometimes it's kinda strange that people takes people around them, especially those they see everyday, for granted, that only when someone is about to leave them, that they start to treasure the time they have together.

By people, I mean me, of course.

On another note, the boss seems to suggest that we would not be replacing another headcount. Which means more work for us. So my quiet time would be over in another 3 months time.

I hope I don't become a perpetually angry person again.
